So I just watched this movie for the first time today. It was interesting. It was weird, sad, and funny. I didn't really like the beginning at first but I slowly got into it. It's probably because I'm used to Ryan's more charismatic characters.

And btw I loved that part of the scene where the kid sits on the doll's lap!

The part of the movie that really got me confused was how by the end everyone in town was friends with the doll and even arranged a funeral for her? Whaaaa?

IKR! It's mostly weird to me!

I don't remember the funeral part!

I watched this movie some time ago!

It was kind of weird. But I think some people actually have these kind of relationships.

At first I thought he was just fooling everyone to get attention because he always has this little smile during the movie. But then he really talked to the doll and brought it places.

The doll "died" according to him and everyone felt sad about it and I guess they had the funeral for her, to support him during his hard time. That must be a really small town though.

Yeah I guess so. Really lonely people mostly are the ones with these kinds of relationships

Yeah he really got attached to it!

So you're on the spot sis, you're not confused . I think it was a reallyyy small town. Everyone knew each other and everyone got so freaked out when they knew his situation with the doll at first

There were a lot of nice parts in the movie. I like that by the end Lars was able to have physical contact with people more easily.

And I loved his brother's wife! She always wanted to get him out of the garage and for him interact with others.

And it seems like after the movie ends he'll be with the girl who was crushing on him from the start. I think her name was Margo.

Yeah I liked that too! It seems like because he coudn't relate with real people easily he found easier to relate with "people" but not real or alive

I don't remember her but she sounds like a great gal!

Yeah... that I remember . He is gonna start dating her!

Plus he didn't have to really touch her or be expected to. At first he made his brother and sister-in-law do everything like change her clothes and bathe her.

Yeah it ends with him asking her if she wants to go for a walk with him. So that's at least a nice ending.

Aw he looks so sad.

His wardrobe is so much different from what he usually wears. I'm not liking the old man sweaters.
