I can't remember where I read it, but I think he's said only a few years, since he filmed The Believer, or just before that. But I'm not certain!

Well at the same time, we don't know his habits, he might only smoke when he's drinking at a party or something you know only a social smoker...It would be nice if he didn't smoke I agree, just because of health reasons. But you'd be surprised to find out how many actors/actresses do smoke outside of their roles...

Well, I don't really have a problem with his smoking habit there could be a lot of reasons for it, but I think i can agree with this social smoker thing. And he doesn't smoke that much, just think of Johnny Depp who smokes even during interviews....
