Cool that Drive won for that.

Good eye B. That does look like as you say.

That woman should have been made to sit through the Devil Inside.

BAFTAs showed Drive some love, as it made the nom short-list for Best Film, Director, Supporting Actress (Carey), and Editing.

I was a little surprised to see Carey get nominated for Drive over Shame.

Not looking good for Baby Goose but that's kind of expected (although I thought he had a shot here since he's huge in the UK now and they seemed to nominate actors that are known over there. for example, Melissa missed there last year), since he didn't had much traction this whole awards season. I guess again, despite the performance, not the type of role that gets awards traction.

Congrats to Refn, Newman, Carey, Platt and Siegel though

Drive also made it to several categories in the Irish Film and Television Academy Awards, and Nic made it on the Australian version of that.

Aah, I was wondering why I didn't see the Drive thread in my Control panel. Phew, TFTNT.

Yeah sometimes how the noms go is surprising.

Glad for Refn, Newman, Carey, Platt and Siegel as well.

Erin Benach, who is also a long time collaborator of Ryan, has been nominated for the Costume Designers Guild Awards! Congrats to Erin

Shockers from the 2012 Oscar Nominations | NextMovie
Quote:
Albert Brooks Won't Need Driver

Despite receiving several accolades and award nominations for his surprisingly against-type role as a Los Angeles gangster in "Drive," Brooks was completely (and unforgivably) overlooked for the Academy Awards. We don't want to blame anyone, but it looks like Max von Sydow and/or Jonah Hill stole Brooks' place. And while we're complaining about Brook's lack of a nomination, it's a shame that Nicholas Winding Refn's beautifully acted critical darling isn't represented, save for a Best Sound Editing nod.
