Anyone seen this videos? Pretty great! I think these are promotional videos for Drive before they were screened at Cannes.

Drive - Ryan Gosling Profile

There are some footages that didn't make it to the movie. I love the second trailer from here:

KO Creative Portfolio - Drive Trailers

And for those who read the book, there's going to be a second book by James Sallis. I have yet to read the first but it's on its way from amazon Here is the cover

Drive was also in December issue of Total Film and Empire Magazine, topping both 2011's best of list. I am pleasantly surprised I hope more people will discover it when it comes out in DVD and Blu Ray in January!

And here is the US DVD cover. So many thing that's wrong with this cover, and most important of all, why the scorpion in front!?

Oh cool. Designing based on Ryan's jacket in Drive.

I can't wait to see it! It's funny how Ryan was able to make one of the arguably worst jacket looks cool!

Also Albert Brooks won a couple of minor critics awards today. Yay! congrats to Albert!

But Drive did miss AFI top 10 though, which is a pretty big blow to its awards prospect actually. But I think anything that Drive gets in this awards season is a bonus really to this really great film

To be blunt, AFI, like the Academy, is too old for a movie like this, made by a director of Nic's current standing.

It's why films like The Help and J. Edgar -- which was awful, BTW -- are likely to be nominated this year, while MMMM, 50/50, Drive, Shame, etc. are left in the cold for BP (Fassbender might get in for Best Actor for Shame though, because Gary Oldman isn't even pretending to care). Their idea of "edgy" is something that's already been played out everywhere else (GWTDT).

Yeah AFI is really dropping the ball on this one, not only on Drive but other really good, smaller films as well. There're no independent films on the list at all. From what I've heard it's selected by a committee, so maybe that explains it a little.

Actually I heard that Gary Oldman is working it in Hollywood right now, so maybe we will get to see him finally get nominated So was Fassbender, who was in Hollywood and getting some good notice for Shame and all his other performances this year!

And I wondered how Drive will fare in the remaining awards season. It's nobody's idea of an Oscar film, as it wasn't made to be one I can imagine, but it would be nice to see it surprises. I am very happy that Albert Brooks is most likely to be nominated I wondered if it will have any other nominations for BFCA, SAG and GG which all announce this week! I know that Ryan and anyone other than Albert are very long shot for anything this season, but it seems like that he's so involved in this project, i am really hoping that Drive can do well overall. He looked so genuinely happy in the Cannes ceremony when it was awarded best director!

I agree that they do happen to miss nominating some great films. I'm definitely happy for Albert Brooks as that gives the film some recognition.

They do miss sometimes unfortunately But this one is for the books I think. And good to have Brooks representing for Drive! His biggest competition at this moment is Christopher Plummer and Max Von Sydow though, both actors (along with Albert! I love and adore a great deal!

A little off topic, funny you mentioned Fassbender, I am a fan too. Besides liking his work I always see him as a bad boy type (like he was in Fish Tank). With Ryan, it's almost the completely opposite, almost the definition of the nice guy type (like Lars, Notebook, and Drive. Even in CSL he was so coy and gentle once he got together with Emma Stone in his house).

lol sorry if I got a little bit film geeky!
