Possible new film project for Rachel! She supposedly signed up to be in a romantic drama directed by Terrence Malick along with Christian Bale, Javier Bardem, and Olga Kurylenko.

Terrence Malick is scheduled to begin shooting an untitled romantic drama this fall with Christian Bale, Javier Bardem, Rachel McAdams and Olga Kurylenko.

FilmNation Entertainment, which will be handling international sales and distribution, made the announcement Wednesday.

The film will be produced by Nicolas Gonda, Sarah Green and Bill Pohlad of River Road but further details are scanty. The producing trio, in a statement, said, "We are delighted to be part of this extraordinary team; everyone involved brings a unique perspective to this powerful and moving love story."

Malick has a reputation for being exacting in completing his films, which include "Badlands," "Days of Heaven" "The Thin Red Line," "The New World." His most recent project, the drama "Tree of Life," stars Sean Penn and Brad Pitt and is due out later this year through Apparition, the fledgling distribution company Pohlad launched last year with Bob Berney.

River Road is financing "Tree," and Pohlad is producing with Green and Grant Hill.

Thanks for that, Belle! I feel a bit more optimistic about this rumor now that Variety's backing it.

Even though some films announced by Variety just stay in pre-production forever or don't even come to fruition (grr!), I think this rumor's definitely more solid than that Spider-Man 4 rumor from a while back. I'm crossing my fingers!

What do you guys think of the rest of the cast?

Yeah, the details seem pretty scarce, and things could change before their fall schedule, but things seem pretty positive.

Spider-man 4 isn't happening anymore, so that rumor definitely went nowhere.

I like the rest of the cast. Sign me up for any movie involving Rachel and Christian Bale.

Yes, things could change about this movie, but I'm still excited about it regardless!

I hope it turns out to be true!

I like the cast, too, except maybe Olga Kurylenko. She's just a pretty Bond girl to me (she wasn't even that great in Quantum of Solace), but we'll see.

I like Christian Bale. He seems to be a bit of an ass,

, but he's good-looking and an extremely brilliant actor. He always seems to pick really great roles.

I like Javier Bardem as well.

Since it's supposed to be a romantic drama, who do you guys think will be paired up with who?

I've never heard of Olga Kurylenko, so I don't really have an opinion on her.

I like all the movies I've seen Christian Bale in, even though I keep thinking about the tape where he was yelling at someone for walking into the frame.

I also like Javie Bardemr, too. I have no idea about the pairings, though!

Have you seen any of the director's movies?
