So it looks like Terrence Malick's new movie is going to be called 'The Burial' with Rachel playing the "other woman" again like she did in Married Life - this time opposite Ben Affleck. Looks like a good script and Terrence Malick is an acclaimed director so something to look forward to. He's historically slow at editing his movies so it probably won't be 2012 until we see this movie. The plot details are all in the link so don't click it unless you are willing to spoil the movie for yourself

But it does give alot of details on Rachel's role and what happens to her character. Anyway, alot of potential for Rachel in this movie.

Her upcoming projects look like this as far as timelines go:

Midnight In Paris - supposed premiering at Cannes May 2011.
Sherlock Holmes 2 - December 2011, not sure if she's in it yet though. If she is - it will be a tiny role.
The Vow - mid year 2012
The Burial - end of 2012

From what you said though, it was like I'd suspected of Rachel's role -- playing 'the other woman' like in Married Life. I really hope this role has more depth and complexity than her role in Married Life. Rachel has the acting range to do so much more than be the generic female character all the time.

I SO wish Christian Bale hadn't dropped out of this movie!

It would be a dream come true for Rachel and Christian to work together. I'm not a big fan of Ben Affleck...but I'm really looking forward to this project.

Malick has the golden touch so hopefully Rachel gets a meaty supporting role in this one. Playing the "other woman" always has potential for great dark performances and Rachel has the chops to pull it off.

It's too bad we're waiting potentially 2 years to see this one!

Here ya go... 1st image from his still untitled movie, Rachel as Jane and as a blond....AND with Ben!
Also, the fact that they chose to release the 1st still from movie with Rachel and Ben as the leads bodes very well for Rachel. Perhaps she has a very meaty part here. She's being showcased on the 1st look feature!! First Look at Untitled Terrence Malick Film

From the still, it definitely looks like Rachel and Ben's character are getting together. She's the other woman again.

I don't mind her being the other woman... I hope it's a meatier role than the one she had in Married Life.

Who else is in this movie? Rachel Weisz, right?

The actors name is Jeff Anderson. Yes she's playing the other woman but it looks like she will definitely be having a main type role. I don't want to give away plot details but you can put the clues together

I think Rachel Weisz and Javier Bardem are also in the movie.

I did not audition with Rachel. A week later I was on the set with Rachel McAdams, Terrence Malick and others.

How was it working with director Terrence Malick and his upcoming project?
Mr. Malick was a prince of a man. Even though it was my first major production, he treated me no different than he did any of the others. He had total vision for exactly what he had in mind. The man is an artist. What a privilege to have the opportunity to work with him.

How was it working with Rachel McAdams, we know you play Brad her husband?
Ha ha, I can neither confirm nor deny the actual part I played

But I can tell you Rachel was so gracious. The ultimate professional. She encouraged me every step of the way… and only spoke words of encouragement between shoots. She genuinely asked about “me” and my life – total grace in action. A genuine class act. Total lady. Think about my position: Rachel went from Sherlock Holmes, with Robert Downey Jr.; then Morning Glory, with Harrison Ford, to our set with Ben Affleck… and little ol’ me. And Rachel never let on like there was any difference.
I hope I have the opportunity to work with Rachel again in the future.

We know you can not give us any details about the movie itself, but maybe you can you give us a (Rachel-related) anecdote?
One scene we shot began inside a barn, and as the scene ran, we walked outside the barn. It was early morning and around 50 degrees, so it was a little cool after being out there so long. After one of the takes, Rach and I were standing outside talking, and she asked me, “Want to go inside the barn and get warm?” Once inside the barn I smiled my lop-sided grin and said, “You know, ‘wanna go inside the barn and get warm’, means something totally different in Oklahoma than it does where you come from.” [laughs]
Needless to say, I would’ve been more than happy to “get warm” with Ms. McAdams. Did I also mention her great since of humor? [laughs]

What can we expect from the movie?
What I gather, there will be love stories that intertwine with unexpected curves and a richness that only Malick could pull out of a dramatic love story.

It's great to hear she'll have a main role! It's a good sign if she's featured in the first ever released still. I hope she has scenes with Javier Bardem.
