Quote:
Speaking of Ryan, American Idol started a few weeks back. I'm not very interested anymore. It's like their 7th one.

Ooh, so you've seen No Country for Old Men and There Will Be Blood?

Yeah, I'm not interested in AI either, anymore. I think I stopped caring around the fifth season. Although I did watch a bit a couple of days ago, since we have a TV at work, and the customers wanted to watch it.

Nah, I haven't seen those, but I've seen the other three that are nominated. I might rent NCFOM whenever it comes out, but There Will Be Blood doesn't seem like a film I'd be interested in. My brother has seen all of the noms though, and liked Atonement the best.

I'm going to see 27 Dresses in a couple of days. And will be getting my textbooks soon.

Thanks for the new thread.

I'll probably catch some epsiodes of AI too, but I haven't cared for any of the recent winners.

I don't think I want to see There Will Be Blood too. I think the title says it all.

Aw, I loved that movie! When do you start school again? My Spring Break is next week.

Yeah Taylor or Jordin haven't really done much.

I don't mind the 'blood' bit. It's more of a, will I even care, kind of thing. My brother said the violence in the film isn't even that bad. But I don't believe him. It's more of a, will I even care, kind of thing.

I start on March 3rd. Orientation Week for the first years is next week, but I'm gonna go anyway to register for a few things. I think I might attempt to join a club.

Taylor was the worst winner IMO. I wasn't fond of Jordin either, but at least I've heard one song of hers on the radio.

Was it the movie even about? I'm not even sure if I have read a whole synopsis. I've seen clips though. I think I'll pass on that one.

Ooh, clubs! What kind of club?

Yeah, I still can't believe Chris Daughtry became 4th in that season, and he's obviously having more success than Season 5 & 6 combined.

All I know is that the movie was based on a book called Oil!, but IMDB says that it is "a story about family, greed, religion, and oil, centered around a turn-of-the-century prospector in the early days of the business."

I'm thinking about poker or badminton. Or both! I'm not sure yet. I still have to get my membership at the gym. I bought my textbooks today. So expensive.

I saw 27 Dresses today with a friend and I really enjoyed it! Even though it was cliche and predictable, it was still a lotta fun to watch.

I like Chris, and his songs with his band are really good. My favorite was Ellott though.

Badminton club sounds a lot of fun.

I agree, 27 Dresses is a cute girly movie. I still love it though.

I think my favourite AI contestant ever was Carrie. I don't usually like that type of music, but I liked her music.

As long as the badminton is at a social level and not at a competitive level, I'm all for it.

I was happy James Marsden finally got the girl, once and for all. He usually doesn't, poor thing. The trailers before the film however, were terrible.

I like Carrie. My favorite one was Clay, and I like Kelly too. Her last album wasn't that great though, to be honest (even if she wrote most of it).

Why were the trailers horrible?

Clay was definitely my fave from S2. I wanted him to win! Yeah I like Kelly Clarkson too. I didn't like her last album either but one song she didn't put on her album, I actually liked.

Well we only had two. One was Made of Honor, and I just thought it looked terrible. My friend however, was like, "I HAVE to see it!" And then there was PS I Love You. I read the book last year, and as soon as I saw the trailer I was already disappointed. I'm hard to please.

Today I watched an episode of Martha's Kitchen, one of her old shows on the Food Network channel, and she made this watermelon bombe thing I've never heard before, but looked ridiculously awesome (because it looked like a watermelon). But it didn't look appetizing.

I remember I was disappointed when Clay lost. And I sat through the entire 2 hour finale.

Hopefully your friend won't drag you to that movie.

I love watching the original Martha Steward. Everything she makes look good - but very complicated sometimes. I remember when she said that her eggs came from her own chickens, or her herbs come from her garden. I was expecting her to say she made her own flour too.

The watermelon bombe looks yummy to me. I love watermelon. And icre cream.

I know! I was so pissed about that. That was the only season where the finale aired live here. At least all of the other times I knew in advance.

You know she has her own honey! I watched an episode of her and the bee expert (I forgot what they're called ) and she was getting her honeycomb. But this show is way better then the one she has now with all those guests. Sometimes I find her a bit rude when she's with her guests.

I love watermelon and icecream but the combination of pistachio icecream with watermelon sorbet does not. Individually though, definitely.

Yay for the oscars in 17 hours!

That's an advantage. I would have wanted to watch finales if somebody I really liked didn't win.

Yes, I remember seeing Martha Stewart with her bees. I like the old show better too. The talk show isn't that great, but I like that she "cooks" with her guests.

I don't think I've ever had watermelon sorbet. Sounds really good though.

I was watching the Oscars (the first part at least)! I found out that I did get the carpet with Ryan Seacrest. I forgot to watch it though.

Funny thing is her chefs that are in the other kitchen on her daytime show are doing more of the "cooking" for her. I do love the recipes that she makes on that show (dessert more so, )...and I don't care much for the arts and crafts. I'm terrible with that stuff.

I watched the red carpet while I was baking a quiche. I loved Anne Hathaway's dress, and even though I didn't like the bottom of her dress, I liked what Jennifer Garner put together. Amy Adams' purse cracked me up since there was no practical use whatsoever, and she didn't have anything in it because of it.

I really liked the speeches from Tilda Swinton (although hated the dress), Marion Cotillard, and Diablo Cody (although hated the dress, liked that she wore flats on stage ).

I only watch the cooking segment too. I don't really care about crafts or gardening.

I loved Jennifer Garner's dress. It was so pretty, definitely my favorite look. I also liked Amy Adams' dress and her hair. I liked her performance, but it was more simple compared to the other numbers. Marillon Cotillard had a nice dress too.

I hated Tilda Swinton's dress too. It was hideous actually. I really wanted Cate Blanchett to win though.

Amy Adams looked so nervous! On the red carpet (on a different channel, the one with Regis and someone else), I felt so bad because the interviewer was "reminding" her about how many people worldwide watch the show and she was already nervous on top of that! I felt bad that all the other songs had proper stage productions except for hers.

I liked Marion's too. When she left the stage with Forest Whitaker, I was awwing. I wanted the little girl in Atonement to win her cateogry actually. I knew it wasn't gonna happen, but was still hoping.

My break is slowly coming to an end. Tomorrow I have to get buy my coursework books (more money, ugh!)
