Rachel Off-Topic #16 - It might have been more than 10 years, but Harry Potter lives on!

The 6th one rubbed me the wrong way right from the start when he went into that cafe and started to hit on that chick. That drove me insane and then guess went into looking for stuff

My favourite player played for Detriot for years and just love alot of the players for the team. Alot of great verterns

Thanks!

I completely forgot about that cafe part. I agree, that was terrible. Get it together, Harry. I was really disappointed we didn't get to see Dumbledore's funeral.

Who was it? I loved watching Steve Yzerman.

Your welcome

That just irked me like nothing else though not sure what irks me more The changes from this or the changes in Twilight movie

Brendan Shanahan but so agree on Stevie and turned to liking Cherrios after Shanahan left. However, the team has many great players

Thanks for the new thread, Belle!

I have a lot to catch up with you guys already!

Quote:
I don't like Dumbledore that much in the movies - I always pictured him to be calmer and more soft spoken. McGonagall looks exactly like what I pictured her to look like.
I liked the first Dumbledore they used. I thought he was pretty gentle. I agree -- Maggie Smith embodies McGonagall perfectly!

Quote:
Cillian, unattractive? Didn't know that was feasible. Who was the most attractive of his characters?
I find many of his characters attractive. I thought Jackson Rippner from Red Eye was hot -- but in a wrong, bad guy kinda way. He was also stunning as a man in uniform in The Edge of Love though. I also liked him in Watching the Detectives (he was so cute as the dorky, normal guy), Sunshine (he had long locks plus he was sweaty a lot ), and 28 Days Later (he was skinny but ripped but also the hero thing was hot).

Quote:
I the Batman movies that have been done this decade. The ones with Bale as Batman even if I'm on Bale himself
I love the Nolan franchise. It's action packed but thought-provoking as well. It's probably my favorite franchise. I agree -- I'm not too in love with Bale as well. He's a great actor though.

Quote:
What was your fave of the movies?
I agree with you guys about the 4th movie. It's also my favorite book as well, and I thought they translated it well to the screen. I also have a fond spot in my heart for the 1st movie because I was quite in awe when I first watched it. I was like, "It's everything I'd imagined from the book!" I was totally smitten with the three leads then. I was a bit disappointed with the 6th movie though -- they kinda changed it up a lot.

Have fun at your concert, Val!

I agree on how the 1st was great seeing the characters on screen for the first time and felt that it was well put

The Nolan movies are fanastic but I'm mainly alone with my liking of the 90 ones. The one Val and George did, they were meant as fun but they were great. Especially loved Tommy Lee as Two Face, but Aaron was so much better. Harvey's storyline in TDK was fanastic, loved it

Val, enjoy your concert! Sorry to hear about your week, but I hope everything goes better.

I was really disappointed with what they did with the Twilight movie, so much that I haven't bothered watching New Moon. I saw the new trailer for Eclipse and that one looks good though.

I liked him too, I remember when they were all playing together and they also had Luc Robitaille and Brett Hull.

I think the first movie stayed the closest to the book. I was also amazed how everything looked on screen. Ron was adorable.

I did see New Moon and didn't have a problem with it. Eclipse is my favourite book, so they better do well with it

Oh I remember Brent Hall but don't remember him with the Wings remember him with the Stars

I personally feel that the first 5 did well I was impressed with how close they keep everything. All the kids were cute but Ron was my favourite related to the trio. Though Draco was my favourite out of the kids, him and Snape were my favourites

I thought the 90's movies were fun. They were a bit goofier though. I liked how Nolan brought realism to the Batman franchise. It really worked.

I loved Harvey in TDK! I loved his quote about how 'you live long enough to become the villain' or something like that -- it was so ironic and sad in his part.

Wasn't it great to see it all onscreen for the first time with the first movie?! Yes, it was definitely amazing to see Harry's world brought to the screen. It was magical. The kids were so adorable back then -- and so little, too! It's amazing that we saw them grow up with the movies.

I liked Ron. Draco was perfectly brought to the screen -- he made the perfect little bratty snot.

They were fun but Nolan really was given the series a rebirth and a fantastic job with it. I had that quote in my sig for a bit before pimping favourite line from both movies

I remember going to the cinema to see the first one and was just breath-taking with seeing it on scene. I love how we have seen them grow up on screen, its been fanastic over the years

Did you see the new trailer that was on Oprah? It looks like there will be lots of action. And I think I'll like movie Jacob a lot better than the book.

Are you going to watch the game tonight?

Movie Ron is my favorite of the trio, but I like all of them. I love the friendship between Ron and Harry.

I also liked Draco. I thought he was going to die in the last book, but I'm glad he made it through. I guess he wasn't cut out to be entirely evil.

He did...especially with his hair slicked back in the first movie.

I haven't seen a new trailer, just the original one that was out a bit ago. It does look like an action packed movie, just hope its close to the book. I thought book!Jacob was alright but Taylor pwns and is hot

I am going to watch it I've got the Habs on now but am going for the Caps for this series. A so not a fan of the Habs

Ron owns no matter if it was the books or the movies Rupet did a great job with the character. I loved the relationships that they had with each other, R/Hr for romance and then Harry with friendship with them both

I so thought so too, thought he was going to die but am so glad that he didn't

You should watch the new trailer here. I did not like Jacob in the 3rd book, but his point of the view in the last book was the best part.

I'm going to watch that game, too. I don't think I'll be able to watch it all in its entirety. I'm so tired.

And we even got to see Draco in the epilogue. I'm surprised he didn't end up with Pansy.
