I just recently watched Sherlock Holmes 2. Did they really kill Irene?

I'm in denial. I mean I don't mind if they do a third SH film and Rachel's not in it. But the Irene Adler character was really enjoyable.

Spoiler:

I still feel that the fact that Irene didn't notice that Moriarty was gonna poison her was a bit out of character. I mean, this lady has beaten Sherlock Holmes at his own game in the past.

Yes she was. And Rachel playing her really made it much better. I was quite shocked because I thought she was a main character and to me it seemed like she was supposed to be apart of the whole movie. Not just in the little bit that she was in. Especially since she went to the premier and just seemed like a huge part of the whole thing.

Spoiler:

I agree. It seemed out of character. She seemed to have her suspicions. Especially when Moriarty said about meeting in a public place. I've read what others think and they seem to think that maybe she is still alive, but who knows.

I think she died, but it's open enough to have had her survive. If they do a 3rd one, I doubt that Irene would be back though.
