I was reading this interview with Eric Bana and here's what he said about Rachel:

Agreed! I'm so glad to hear that they got along so well together on set! I mean, it would really help their performances together.

Hopefully, they'll demonstrate amazing chemistry onscreen! I have to admit I'm a teensy bit worried about that since Eric has been hit or miss in displaying chemistry with his female co-stars. He had zero chemistry with Drew in Lucky You same goes with Scarlett and Natalie in The Other Boleyn Girl. I'm encouraged by these recent articles/interviews though! *crossing fingers*

Thanks for sharing that, Belle. I have adored everything Eric's said about Rachel. You can tell just how much he geunuinely respects her, and just overall, gets along with her. I like how this time around, Rachel was cast first, and then that's partly what got Eric interested in signing on, being able to work opposite her. Their friendship is so sweet.

Rukia, I haven't really seen any of Eric's work before, this will be the first for me, other than snippets and such. But I'm already feelin' the chemistry between him and Rachel. In fact, I'm feelin' it more than with Ryan/Rachel [whom I like together in real-life, but in The Notebook, they just didn't do anything for me - and I know I'm in the minority there, lol]. I can't wait to actually seem then on-screen together.

Anji, I'm definitely encouraged by all of their interviews together!

I feel it, too, and Rachel has been able to create great chemistry with most of her co-stars so far. It's Rachel's magic, haha.

And don't worry, you're not the only one who thinks so about The Notebook. They were decent but not the greatest.
