Noticed IMDB is starting to add the first people to the Disobedience page:

They recently added the casting director Nina Gold. I hope this means they are actively casting the roles for the movie. Can't wait to find out who will play Rachel's husband.

Casting news, actor Nivola is in talks to join both Rachel's:

Alessandro Nivola is in talks to join the cast of Disobedience, the Sebastian Lelio-directed drama starring Rachel Weisz and Rachel McAdams and based on Naomi Alderman’s 2006 novel.

Nivola will play McAdams’ husband, an orthodox rabbi in North London whose marriage is threatened by his wife’s forbidden romance with a lapsed Jewish woman (Weisz) returning to the community after years of self-imposed exile. The pic is being produced by Weisz, Element Pictures’ Ed Guiney, Film4 and Braven Pictures’ Frida Torresblanco. Lelio (Gloria) co-wrote the script with Rebecca Lenkiewicz.

FilmNation Entertainment is co-financing with Film4 and handling international sales.

Nivola just wrapped Lynn Ramsey’s You Were Never Really Here alongside Joaquin Phoenix, Liz Garcia’s One Percent More Humid opposite Juno Temple and Jaron Albertin’s Weightless. Next up he stars with Robert De Niro in Barry Levinson’s Bernie Madoff pic The Wizard of Lies for HBO. He landed a Tony nom for starring opposite Bradley Cooper in The Elephant Man on Broadway and most recently was seen in Nicolas Winding Refn’s The Neon Demon.

He is repped by CAA and Management 360.

I have posted several New York sightings from the past few days in the news thread and today Rachel was spotted at Othello, which stars Daniel Craig:

Daniel Craig is married to Rachel Weisz, so I assume there is a "Disobedience" connection there. I think they might have started pre-production work and/or rehearsals in New York

Now that I think of it, it makes sense that they are doing pre-production and/or rehearsals right now since it was reported they will start filming on January 3rd. Usually production compagnies have a 2 week christmas break between Christmas and New Year's Eve.

I posted a Toronto airport sighting in the news thread. Not sure, but it could indicate that she was spotted in the gate for the flight heading to Paris which would mean Rachel is in Paris/Europe right now.

Disobedience filming will start on January 3rd, so I wouldn't be surprised if she's already in Europe.
