Plot: The New Line Cinema story revolves around a dashing librarian (Bana) at Chicago's Newberry Library who has a gene that causes him to travel back and forth in time involuntarily. During one of his episodes, he falls in love with a woman (McAdams), but the problem is that while the man's age changes constantly depending on his location in time, the woman's progresses in a normal manner; thus, the two are often out of sync.

I did. Well.. I am not sure. I kinda love the movie AND book ending both. Though book!Clare has more hope.. because she knows he will come back when she is old. It's difficult to say. And you?

Hm, I think I would have preferred the book ending - which I really liked when I first read it. The movie ending was bittersweet, but I found it didn't flow very well. Like it wrapped up suddenly and I wasn't expecting that to be the last scene.

Love your icon, btw. Young Clare was such a cutie.

Rachel and Eric were amazing in the movie , they both did a great Job

Yes, she definitely has the talent. All she needs is the right movie.

Like the in the movie, Henry tells her to stop waiting for him and he dies. The last part of the book describes a visit from Henry when Clare is in her eighties, and they are reunited. So it's a little bit like the movie.

You should read the book, there are more stories like e.g. you get to know Henry's ex-girlfriend Ingrid (the one the lipstick belonged to) and much more great things! I am re-reading it currently.

It's because present day Henry has a vasectomy, and Clare is upset at that. When she's alone in the car, she is visited by a younger version of Henry (who hasn't had the vasectomy yet), and that's how he impregnates her.
