Hey,
I'm Canadian too, from Ottawa. Yeah, this board just adds to all the patriotic festivities. :)

 Hello, my name is Sarah. I'm 18 and from London, Ontario. I first started to like her when I saw The Notebook

Starfield_Scribe 07-02-2005 09:19 AM

Hey, I'm Moonie! :D 22 from Montreal :)

I just found it so funny that both boards added on July 1st were for Canadians! :yay: We rock :D And Rachel rocks of course sooo much

Jacey_4eva 07-02-2005 12:49 PM

hey guys, yeah i am from Toronto.....love Rachel & Ryan!!!

crash landing 07-04-2005 06:22 AM

I thought that was cute too, and they were both born here in London

water lilies 07-04-2005 11:54 AM

In the same hospital too, it's such a cute tidbit.

Anyone else liked Rachel's speech when she accepted her award for Means Girls at the MTV Awards? She said something like "Now you know that Canadians girls aren't all that nice."

Moonie - Congrats on your modship, btw!

crash landing 07-05-2005 05:03 AM

I didn't see the whole award show, but that's a great line :D

It's up at RMO if you want to d/l only the Rachel bits. :)

I still can't believe Rachel was nominated for a Genie and won a Gemini. Even more proof that she's an amazing actress.

crash landing 07-06-2005 05:42 AM

She is an amazing actress, I  her in "The Notebook"

And hopefully, one day, she'll also win an Oscar.

strawberrykisses617 07-06-2005 07:07 PM

Whoever said Canadians can't act? Rachel kicks bootay.

Gotta love some Canadian talent.

(btw, I'm Jess. I'm from Calgary ;))

water lilies 07-06-2005 08:39 PM

Welcome Jess!

That would be definitely something. She has definitely the versatility and the talent. All she needs is the right script.

Sarah - I love The Notebook too, although my favorite Rachel movie has to be Mean Girls. ;)

crash landing 07-07-2005 10:09 AM

I haven't seen that one yet, I should because I've seen all of Lindsey movies pretty much, Parent Trap/Confession of a Teenage Drama Queen and the one that she did with Jamie Lee Curtis

water lilies 07-07-2005 07:08 PM

I saw almost all of Lindsay's movies except the Confession one. I started it and for some reason I never got to the end.

I first watched Mean Girls for Lindsay, but then I discovered Rachel. The four girls were an amazing team together. :)

I'm going to rent that maybe, but I gotten be in a certain mood to watch a movie like that. Most of the time when I want to rent a movie its a action movie. Last week it was King Authur and this weekend I'm thinking of Murder By Numbers because of Ryan and then if I can rent two, I want to watch The Notebook again

water lilies 07-08-2005 08:04 AM

I love Keira, but I don't know if I would like King Arthur. Murder By Numbers was good. It was dark, but Ryan and Micheal Pitt were excellent together.

What a coincidence, I'm going to watch The Notebook this afternoon. :D What's your favorite scene?

crash landing 07-08-2005 08:06 AM

I have way too many. But I love the beginning when they first meant each other and the kiss in the rain is amazing

LuckyStarz 07-08-2005 02:54 PM

I'm Canadian as well. I'm from Toronto.

water lilies 07-09-2005 06:07 PM

Welcome LuckyStarz! What's your favorite Rachel project? :)

Sarah - One of my favorite scenes is when Allie paints on Noah's porch or when Noah brings in the middle of the late and they're surrounded by geese. I like the opening scenes too and how he hangs from the ferris wheel asking Allie out. Have you read the book too?

crash landing 07-14-2005 11:29 AM

I love that scene too, but no I haven't read the book

That was a really nice scene!!!

The description of the geese scene in the book is beautiful too. I've read the book for the first time only two weeks ago, but I'm can't pick whether I like the book or the movie better.

Have a nice weekend everyone. I'll be busy reading. ;)

Which province are you from? :)

I borrowed "The Wedding" from the library (now that I'm done with HP). I have a feeling I won't like as much as "The Notebook" though.

I also re-watched Mean Girls today. Still as funny as I remembered it.
