Desperate to get a job, she finally gets an interview with Jerry (Jeff Goldblum) - who is desperate to hire a producer for the struggling show "Daybreak". Becky accepts the job and it proves to be more difficult than even she might be able to handle. She has to fire the sexist co-host, then try to convince egotistical news reporter, Mike Pomeroy (Harrison Ford), to take the job, and then try and get him to actually do the job, properly. And she has to do this while falling for handsome Adam (Patrick Wilson), and trying to save the show from plummeting ratings. Will Becky be able to hold on to her dream job and her sanity? | She truly does shine in the movie! Even with Ford and Keaton there, Rachel is the star of the movie. My only regret is that the overall plot of the movie itself wasn't great and therefore will hurt her chances during awards season. GG noms come out Wed so let's keep our fingers crossed. What a huge career achievement it would be to be nominated for a major award aside from an MTV award  | |||

| Fan Forum's Finest | The nominations came out, and unfortunately, she didn't get one. Oh, well.  The Tourist got a couple nominations, including for Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie. But in the comedy category, really?  __________________ .:Belle:. ♥ | |||

| Thanks for the new thread, Belle!  The OP is beautiful!  Aw, I'm disappointed that Rachel didn't get a GG nomination... . I haven't seen The Tourist -- I didn't think it was a comedy? I still haven't seen Morning Glory... but I was still hoping it was GG worthy for Rachel. __________________ | |||

| I haven't seen the Tourist either but I was surprised that Angelina got nominated, but I'm happy about that. Just sucks that Rachel didn't get nominated. She deserves it. __________________ | |||

| the same with me , I didn't watch the movie but I was happy for Angie and really sad and disappointed for Rachel I really thought this is her time to get nominated , that's not fair !  | |||

| The Tourist got awful reviews - whereas Morning Glory had so-so reviews. I think the GG's wanted a big name there so she got nominated. Anyway - still really disappointed with no Rachel for Best Actress in a Comedy/Musical. I guess we have Midnight in Paris in 2011 - but that might be supporting. | |||
