When In Rome

Kristen Bell will star in "When in Rome," a film that Mark Steven Johnson will direct from his own script for Disney.

Gary Foster, Andrew Panay and Rikki Bestall will produce and shooting begins March 31 in New York and Rome.

Bell will play a successful real estate agent in Gotham who can't find a lasting relationship. When her younger sister impulsively marries in Rome, she flies out for the wedding and, after picking up coins from a reputed "fountain of love," finds an overabundance of suitors waiting for her back home.

Reading all the casting info, this movie sounds hilarious! I hope it translates well on screen and doesn't seem to out there though. But with Kristen in it I'm sure it'll be fine!

I never really care about spoiling myself for movies

I couldn't really get much from the casting stuff either because it's just a mass of info

but it does sound fun.

Nope, it's basically just character outlines for everyone who appears and they're trying to cast. So you'll be spoiled for all the minor characters and what they get up to, and what they end up doing when the spell wears off, but that's about it

it talks about the male lead, and a couple things he does for Beth, but nothing important.

Hee, I thought the title was appropriate. Seeing lots of men and women fall madly in love with her is not a strange thing!

Seems to me the male lead will be the key. Kristen doesn't enough star power yet to carry a cheesy Disney Romantic Comedy all by herself. They'll need to bring in some kind of super hunk like Zac Efron or Chase Crawford to really pull in the kind of teen girl numbers they'll need to make this a success. Even if it isn't a flop, I still don't like it as a career move. Seems time Kristen gets herself involved in a serious project. She's done enough of this Teen/Geek/Superhero stuff. Hopefully her next project will be something more adult.

-And the Olsen Twins already made a movie by this name. Normally repeating a title isn't that big of a deal, but considering it wasn't too long ago the Olsen's flick came out, and it's in the same general genre and targeted towards the same demo, might they want to consider changing the title? Maybe not. I guess somebody in Hollywood has probably studied this. Maybe using the same titles over and over again increases ticket sales and is something we'll see more of in the future.
