they must have been on offer or just not very popular ones, because the general prices for boxsets here range from £25 - £40. Movies are are about £15! Hee.

But yeah, the WB ones are ridiculous prices. One Tree Hill S1 is still around £60 in some places and that's 6 years old and not very popular over here

The ones I looked at. Although I looked at scrubs too but I don't remember what that cost.

It might be something to do with music rights. I know originally the DVDs weren't even going to be released here in Australia because the music rights were too expensive, but we finally got s1 in July/August and then s2 last month.

what's so different about VM music? I remember they said a couple years ago that they were going to be released "soon"

I don't know. Maybe CW wanted to be cheap and just bought licences for the US and others buy for the world? So when the DVDs come out there is no extra charge but with VM there is?

Hmm maybe. But when I found out about the whole music ritghts thing, I think it was when VM was still on UPN. I'm not sure if it's a CW but rather a Warner Bros thing since aren't they the distributor?

I don't know. The whole thing is comfusing and makes no sense!

Well so far we only got the first two seasons on DVD here, so that still affects the contracts UPN did. I don't know if CW had a different policiy. It's really confusing.
