Kristen Bell - Roman

A lonely guy who has nothing in his life except for looking out a window after work. He watches the same girl go by every day, but he never talks to her, until he meets her by chance.

Unfortunately, he's obsessed so much over her that things go horribly wrong.

Now, this is one of Kirsten's films I'm really excited about.Kirsten will be playing 'The Girl' he is obsessed with. It's filming now, and I honestly can't wait to find out more about it.

Lucky McKee is playing the central character the movie gets its namesake from, and it is directed by Angela Bettis (May).

This sounds interesting and more so because Kristen is in it. I'm surprised that this is the first time I'm hearing of this movie. It kinda sounds like 'Shall We Dance' with the idea of a guy longingly watching someone every day, but not doing anything. Except, in 'Shall We Dance' there wasn't the creepy vibe that I'm getting from 'Roman'.

And on a side note, I didn't watch the JLo version of 'Shall We Dance'. I saw the original Japanese version. Really, I can't stand JLo.

so she's done with Pulse already. wow so she have three movies coming up. I hope all three makes it to theater.

She's working her butts off. Doesn't she want a break.

j-pop G&Jo, it's had comparisons to the film May, with the director having been the star of that film, and many actors who were in it are also starring in Roman. Apparently the plot is also kind of the same, only the sexes are reversed. I read up about May, and I have to say it sounds creepy. Really creepy.

But I love creepy movies, and the fact Kristen is in it too is just icing on top of a lovely cake.

OT- I didn't know there was a Japanese version of the film. I have to check that one out.

I steered clear of the J-Lo version, because...yeah.

Kristen seems to be doing a lot of movies. We know that she is in Romania doing 'Pulse'. I don't know how far into filming they are with that or if they're already done. She has two movies that are, from what I understand, already finished with production, which are 'Deepwater' and 'Fifty Pills'. Now, I'm hearing about 'Roman'. It sounds cool. I'll have to check out 'May' so I can get a better idea of where 'Roman' is heading. Anyway, that's 4 movies. Kristen is really keeping busy.

i saw the JLO version of the movie just because i like Richard Gere and Susan Saradon. That movie wasn't creepy at all. He wasn't stalking her. He just saw her teaching a class and thought he should join it. It wasn't creepy at all to me.

I thought of Wicker Park (Josh Hartnett movie...it was crap IMO...) except the girl had the obsession with the guy.

Sorry. I didn't mean to make it sound like 'Shall We Dance' is creepy. I'm just saying how the idea of a guy watching someone everyday reminded me of 'Shall We Dance'.

It's a funny coincidence; I came by FF last night for the first time in a week or so, and saw that Kristen Bell had a board. I haven't been watching "Veronica Mars", so I would have had no idea who that was, except that I recognized the name from the cast of "Roman". Which I was familiar with, because actor James Duval was just added to the cast this week, and he's my new favorite obscure actor to Google-stalk.

It's put down as a thriller, sounds interesting. I've never seen Lucky McKee in anything or heard of him. Anybody ever see him in anything?

I put 'May' in my queue at Netflix, so I'll get a feel of where 'Roman' is heading. The movie sounds creepy. I wonder if Kristen's character will have a name other than 'the girl'.

I still haven't seen "May". But he's got another horror movie coming out this fall, called "The Woods", which looks like it was made with a bigger budget. Bruce Campbell ("The Evil Dead", etc) is in the cast about ten people down. "The Woods" is the first movie he's directed since "May".
