Hello our lovely posters

We've been permanent for a few weeks now and things are going well. However, without the weekly post counts we don't always know how well the board is doing. This is why we have to ensure that we keep posting and keep this board alive.

There are times when the Admins carry out random post counts, simply to see how well the board is doing and to ensure that posters aren't just posting when the board is under watch. This is done for the good of the board and fanforums as a whole. Just yesterday a new list was released of post counts for boards and there will be around 4 boards that will be closed due to an average post count under 50 a week. And there may be board with an average post count below 100 put on a watchlist. As I said, its simply to ensure that the boards are reaching their potential.

Now the good news is that our lovely board is doing well. The Average post count for this board is 130. So this board is safe. However, activity can go down at any point. We need to ensure that the post count is staying above 100 every week. Games threads contribute to a lot of the post count but we need to ensure that there is some discussion going on as well.

So the question we put to you is...What can we do to make the board more active?

We're open to any suggestions, games threads might be ok as long as its something that adds some discussion.

Thanks for the info, I am sure it will pick up more when the new season starts also. I'll think of some ideas.

I'll be thinking of some ideas as well. But I also think it will pick up when the season starts. Plus there is Kristen's upcoming performance on the Emmys that might drive some discussion as well as her new movie, Pulse right around the corner.

I agree that the forum will pick back after hiatus. I dont post that often at FF, but I will be coming through more often after a couple weeks >)

I agree. After the new season gets rolling it should pick up. After all there's not a whole lot to report other than a lot of "I can't wait."

Between the new season, the emmys and Pluse we should have plenty to talk about in the upcoming weeks.

I have been busy with school/work but should be able to be around more often now, I'll make sure and post

Starting Sunday I'll start taking a post count of the board so we can keep track of how we're doing. That sound good to everyone?

Yup sounds good. I was just worried because I didn't think the board was as lively as it could be...and we don't want to lose it!

I couldn't get on yesterday, FF database error kept coming up So...I'm going to start the post counts today.

Our current post count as of 9.50pm is 7,691.

This week will be our trial run to see how many posts we're making a week and from then on we'll set our targets.
