anyways, s there any more news on Antique? I rather see her in that even though not so much commercial appeal.
Exactly, I mean.. in Hollywood, how many short, young-looking blondes do you see in lead movies roles outside of the rom-com/lame horror movie genre? Her looks are a big factor in what roles people are going to offer her. I have no doubt that if she got offered something really interesting and challenging, she'd go for it. But if she isn't getting scripts she likes.. what can she do. I'd take a big successful rom-com over another Pulse anyday

And she still has a secret project in the works! hee.

Sucks that she lost her luggage! Would be nice to have her money though and just be able to go buy a whole new wardrobe, heh.

I want to know about the secret project before I get grey hairs though!

I'd kind of like her to do something like Reese did with Walk the Line at least once in between. But I do agree she's probably not yet a big enough name for people to look beyond her looks and offer her anything else but romcoms.

It has to be really nice to be able to buy a whole new wardrobe. Maybe Disney even paid for it since it was lost during a business trip for them

That might be the case, but I just wouldn't want to see her take a movie because of that. I know it's probably hard coming off a show that is not well known and trying to make it out there in the movie biz, but I'd rather see her do nothing than romantic comedy again and again. That's not all there could be out there.

I agree, I hope so to. I wouldn't mind her seeing her on tv again, just in a better show with some great writing.

I'll already be suffering through a Disney movie for her, and not sure I want to go that route again so soon for the Queen of Babble. But I have not read the book so I should reserve judgement. It does scare me a bit that it's a series and she might be tied to do more than one, and I fear they might be just trying to make a movie out of it because of the Princess Diaries and not because the book deserves to be a movie. But maybe there is more than meets the eye about this character. It is another movie, and one that seems will generate a lot of press so we'll get pics and interviews and that in and of itself makes me happy.
Exactly, I try to reserve my judgment till I see a movie, but I can't help the preconceived notions that come out before. I don't like that idea as well, of sequels. Just let it be, half the time there is never a need to make a sequel. True, I'm just looking for more than that.

Seriously though, I see Charlize Theron in roles and she's absolutely gorgeous and talented, but I look at what she's doing and think, 'Kristen would kick ass in that role', just as I look at Edward Norton in The Illusionist or Ryan Gosling in Fracture and know that Jason could have knocked that role out of the park as well, if he had been given the opportunity. IMO, getting recognition and getting their names out there is what's going to get those amazing roles they want to do.
I think it would be stupid just to take something because it's a multi-movie offer. It's not like she is unknown, she has been doing well for herself to keep going after a show. I just want to see stuff passed the blockbuster movie. I also hope it's not horrible as do I hope WIR is not, I just don't want to sit through another Pulse.

That's fine and Jason has got great talent to and I hope he gets offered better roles. I don't want her to be Charlize Theron, I just hope she continues to expand herself beyond big movie projects and romantic comedies. I don't know about anyone else, but that is what I would like to see her in. Getting her name out there or not.

Okay, but I wouldn't want her to be pigeonholed in those roles. There has got to be more opportunities out there, I've seen blondes in other things beside that, and I don't think her being blonde has anything to do with it. That could be true, but I don't think that she is only getting offered romantic comedy roles and if so then I would wait for something better to come along. I'd take neither, that is where we differ. I believe you shouldn't just do a movie because that is all there is. There are many great actors out there who aren't as well known, but are in different roles and great films. I don't mind a romantic comedy, just not for every film.

Yeah, I'm looking for more than that too, it's just that I'm an optimist and try to stick to stuff I know I'm happy about.

I don't think Kristen is physically or mentally able not to work. Even if she knows it's crappy work, I'm pretty sure she needs to be working on something. So I rather she's happy with what she has and hope the next one will be a better role than she has nothing else and is unhappy because she has no work. It kind of sucks that it's the third romcom in a row, but I'm not even sure whether it's a romcom. The description does not really mention a significant other.

She just seems to be having a lot of fun doing comedies right now, she loved working on FSM, she's clearly loved working on WIR.. so I'm just glad she's doing movies she enjoys making.

Hee, they probably did! Although if they did, would that mean they'd take it all back again when she gets her stuff back?

I don't think so. They'd want her to look good as their leading lady, so they'd let her keep it.

That's fine, be happy with what you do.

True, but I wouldn't want to do crappy work. How can you be happy with that. Being happy is important, but I wouldn't know what she feels so. Reading the description of the book you kinda get that it's going to be a romcom. I'm just looking for something different.

I love comedies, Vince Vaughn can do no wrong. Okay, she loves to work on those movies, it's good she's happy. I'm just holding out for some more diverse roles.

I looked up the book and it's in her adult fiction section, so I guess it wouldn't be a kids movie like Princess Diaries. Kristen would be back to playing younger again though, seeing as Lizzie is just graduating from Univeristy! Part of the book takes place in London, so if that means they're filming over here I am very excited about this
I have read the Queen of Babble series and I love the books. They are romcom but amazingly brilliant romcom. Some chick lit I read just for the ease of it but Meg Cabot makes her characters pretty damn brilliant and Lizzie is no exception. I hadn't pictured Kristen in the role but I can see her playing the character well. I recommend all three of the books as they're all brilliant! And if it is true then I can't wait for it!

I'm glad we have someone who's actually read the books! I'm glad you loved them, I'm looking forward to reading them now. Although I won't be able to have a proper opinion on whether or not Kristen will fit the character, because I'll just read them seeing her in the role from the start

I don't know if it is allowed but I found out "Queen of Babble" in e-book version and I'm posting it here, so we can all read it and say if it's good or not

If it's not allowed tell me and I'll delete it.

ETA: ok, I deleted the link, so if anyone is interested in it, tell me and I'll PM you.

She's a little klutzy, it's just a part of her personality but it turns out for the best ! Lizzie this is! You should read them, I really liked them. ^__^

Umm...I would delete the link to be on the safe side as I know a lot of authors are complaining about ebooks being downloaded for free and not bought. However, *cough* what you do via PM is up to yourselves!

Well, that fits in well since I think KB has called herself a klutz before!

My books were shipped today so I'll probably get them Monday, so I think I'll wait

I wonder when they'll start shooting this? It sounds like it's in the very early stages of being picked up as a movie, so I wonder how long it'll take to sort everything out..
