all i have to say is WHAAAAAAAT!!

chidi and the boots flashback was my favorite part of the episode, and janet, of course. and the line "well she knows her a b janets"

that was excellent delivery. now i'm really anxious to find out how it's all going to play out, what a cliffhanger!

i'm definitely getting good parks and rec vibes from this show, feeling like it's hitting its stride mid-season in the same way parks did by season 2 so fingers crossed!

ok, that was a pitch perfect ep. and wow... the confession. boom. just like that.
i remember reading the early reviews about how they would manage to stretch this out over seasons, the critics couldnt see how it would work... but clearly they were worriying about something that is irrelevant. by removing the big secret they've changed the whole trajectory of the show without anyone realizing that it was going to happen. very smart.

i loved the janet fail safe.

"first janet had a click wheel"

and eleanors "why do bad things happen to mediocre people" was fantastic too.

they should know better than to doubt the great michael schur! i like that they went in that direction too, because who would have expected the big secret to get out only halfway through the season? good thinking with that curveball

i was genuinely worried about janet's fate too, even though i just knew they wouldn't just get rid of her like that. i laughed at the end when michael was apologizing to tahani and she was like "that's not necessary... but please continue" because she was saying out loud what we all think in moments like those

As others have said, WOW and WHAAAAAATTTT????? I was flabbergasted by this ep! I kept saying, I can't believe they did THAT...

Janet-Jason trying to push the big red button and Chidi actually trying to stop him but accidentally hitting the button himself...was CLASSIC! Poor Chidi feeling guilty-he was trying to save Janet. Anyway, I knew Janet would come back, but that FAST and at her own wake...

Now, what Michael said would happen to him if he "retired" - THAT does not sound like a good place to me at all. Very questionable now as to what is really going on. And where exactly are they?

THIS is an excellent point. why on earth would he be tortured for what happened in the Good Place, and for all eternity. something sounds dicey with this whole debacle.

true that. the man gave us parks and recs. the critics should have had a little faith that he knew exactly where he was taking us, why, when and for how long.

I can't believe Eleanor has already confessed BUT-What IF Michael knew it was her and he concocted this whole torture thing to see IF that would make her confess...Hmmm.

in theory, everyone there gets tested in some way. Chidi was tested as well. was him keeping that secret and aiding eleanor ethically correct? its contentious. there can be argument for and against that. hmmmmmm
