Frozen did $47,469 on Thursday for a total of $399,619,073.

I think $400 million will be a photo finish on Sunday, within a few thousand either way.

Interestingly, every day this week was higher than last week, solid "small theater count" legs.

In Japan Frozen is at $96.5m heading into the weekend after another solid round of weekdays. Weekend projections are pretty wild due to Detective Conan opening this weekend (Japanese animated movie, there is a long running TV series and they release a movie on this weekend every year) which could be some competition.
Estimates are ranging from $6.4m to $7.8m, which is a pretty big range.

After this weekend we get the 3D dubbed version expansion, the sing-a-long and the Golden Week national holiday to help boost the numbers, although there are some big movies opening during this period like Captain America 2 and TASM 2.

The soundtrack is also breaking records, after tying The Lion King for the most weeks at #1 for an animated movie at 10, Frozen will have the record to itself next week with its 11th week at #1. In its 22nd week on the charts Frozen is expected to sell 225k - 250k albums, it's single best week so far. 11 weeks at #1 is the 3rd best of any soundtrack ever after The Bodyguard at 22 weeks, and Titanic at #2 with 16 weeks.
Frozen sales jumped thanks to the brilliant move of the album going on sale at Starbucks just in time for Easter.

Weekend roundup time.

Domestic- It looks like we'll have to wait until Friday for 400m, Frozen did an estimated 254k for a total of $399,873,000.

In Japan- Frozen just won't slow down. Despite 2 big openers and losing 15% of its seats Frozen will have a slight increase from last week. Frozen is now up to $105m in Japan and next week gets a 3D dubbed expansion as well as the sing-a-long version, and after that is the Golden Week holidays which means Frozen could be close to 150m in just 2 weeks.

Worldwide- Frozen jumps to #6 all time worldwide with $1.129 Billion. Frozen needs just $86.2 million to pass Iron Man 3 for both the #1 spot of 2013 and #5 all time.

By the end of May Kristen could finally have the #1 movie of 2013

disney has historically never made a good sequel. I hope they don't do one for frozen.

confirmation on the soundtracks movements last week.

Frozen has surpassed The Lion King to become the longest-running No.1 soundtrack by an animated film on the US Billboard chart.

The Disney hit, which has now spent 10 weeks at the top, took advantage of Easter shopping and achieved its strongest sales week yet. It shifted 259,000 copies in the week ending April 20, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

Frozen #1 in DVD/Blue Ray sales for the 4th time in 5 weeks

'Frozen' Still Hot, Returns to Top of Disc Sales Charts | Home Media Magazine

List of top 20 sellers last week...

Top 20 Sellers for the Week Ended 04/20/14 | Home Media Magazine

The way they report sales for DVD/Blue Ray annoys me, they telly you everything but the actual numbers. After 5 weeks the only hard number I've heard was the 3.2 million discs sold on the first day of release.

Also, Frozen will finally pass 400 million Domestic tomorrow. It's at $399,960,215 as of Wednesday after doing about 25k. It should do about 25k again today leaving just 15k needed on Friday.

Japan still doing huge numbers. The weekdays have increased over last week heading into what will probably be the biggest 2 weeks in its run in Japan.
The weekday increase might be attributed to it getting a lot of attention in Japanese media for passing 10 billion Yen.
I honestly believe Japan will push Frozen past Iron Man 3 for the title of #1 movie of 2013 (It will need just over 190 million and it's already over 110m with 2 huge weeks coming up with no signs of slowing down. Heck, some of the more optimistic people think it can pass Spirited Away as the biggest movie ever in Japan. That would be between 230m and 244m, depending on how exchange rates are calculated.)

Double milestone day today. Frozen will officially pass 400m domestic. As of Thursday Frozen made more than $399,985,000 after a 25k day.

The 2nd milestone is The Idina Menzel version of Let It Go on youtube passed 200 million views. Still racking up views like crazy, more than 2 million in the last 24 hours.

It's official, Frozen passed $400 million domestic on Friday and it is already starting to get press.

From Forbes

Box Office: Disney's 'Frozen' Tops $400M - Forbes

Quote:
On its 155th day of domestic release, Walt Disney’s animated smash Frozen has crossed $400 million at the domestic box office. Coming off a $67 million Fri-Sun debut over its $93m Thanksgiving weekend opening, the film has earned a mammoth 5.9x its opening weekend number. And while rank doesn’t matter per-se, its 17-week hold in the top ten brings to mind the kind of old-school hits like Ghostbusters and Back to the Future that used to just play for months and months on end. Heck, Frozen has been out on VOD since February 25th and available on DVD since March 18th. Frozen has actually earned $15.7m since its VOD release and $3.3m since it dropped on DVD/Blu-Ray and sold 3.8 million copies in a single day. This wasn’t just a predetermined smash hit. Frozen touched a nerve around the world in a way few films do today.
Boxofficemojo

Frozen (2013) - Box Office Mojo

Total Lifetime Grosses
Domestic: $400,024,000 35.3%
+ Foreign: $733,407,000 64.7%
= Worldwide: $1,133,431,000

============================================

That overseas total is from last weekend. Japan did another 6.2m during the weekdays, an increase from the previous week and Saturday estimates have Frozen dropping just -1% in admissions from last Saturday, but with the addition of the 3D dubbed version ticket price average is higher and Frozen is increasing in dollars this weekend. Weekend estimates range from 8.4m to 9m (last weekend was about 8.3m).
