I camped next to a couple from Canada at Rothbury a couple of years ago, and the guy said "eh" probably every other sentence.

I couldn't help but thinking, "You, sir, are a walking stereotype".

He also drank Labatt all weekend and, if I recall, wore a Canadian national hockey t-shirt one day.

I find myself saying "eh" or some bastardized form of it from time to time, though. It probably sounds somewhere between "eh" and "uh".

He was a good guy, though; I like Canadians.

I type "eh" for the sake of simplicity, but it doesn't sound much like that when I actually say it.

It feel weird even typing the word "eh"..it's weird how that is associated with Canadians

I just don't understand why we say it so much?
