Episode Discussion: 3.17 Debasement Tapes

Quote:
Piz (Chris Lowell) is put in charge of escorting his idol, Desmond Fellows (guest star Paul Rudd, "Anchorman"), a singer/musician from a 1990's pop band who arrives on the Hearst campus to perform at a benefit concert for the radio station. When tapes of Fellow's back-up vocals and tracks go missing, Piz recruits Veronica (Kristen Bell) to help locate them. Keith (Enrico Colantoni) believes he will be running unopposed in the race for Sheriff, until an unlikely candidate throws his hat into the ring.
PAUL RUDD!!!

I really enjoyed this episode. Paul Rudd was awesome! I loved the Logan/Veronica elevator scene, and I really liked the scene between Piz & Veronica in the car (still don't like them together, but the scene was good). I thought this episode was a HUGE improvement over last week. Still not a fan of the stand alone episodes though, I miss having a long mystery to puzzle over between episodes.

This ep was great. Just.. fun. Paul Rudd is awesome, he made me laugh too many times to name

The mystery didn't exactly have a great ending, but I enjoyed the process, and that Veronica/Ratner scene was hilarious. Loved the "oh crap" look that slowly comes over Kristen's face when Piz mentions the robe being blue I actually liked Piz and Veronica together this ep, they're fun as long as they're not making out. The L/V elevator scene was awesome, loved how happy they seemed to see each other and then Logan questionning her on that night at Piz's. I always wondered why he never brought it up at the time, because if roles were reversed Veronica certainly would have

Also: Vinnie Van Lowe! Veronica/Keith battling against him should be amusing

Really enjoyed the episode. It was just so light-hearted and Paul Rudd was amusing through and through. Love the Wallace/Veronica BFFness. The Keith/Desmond argument brought a grin to my face. I don't really care for Mac/Max but their nerd flirting was cute. They bought back so many characters this episode, Leo! Vinnie! got spoiled for the Vinnie thing so the end wasn't as surprising and satisfying as it could've been. The Veronica/Logan scene was good. The move Logan did to get back into the elevator was really cute. Veronica/Piz handholding was cute too. Loved how they trick Desmond into singing his new songs. Was Paul actually singing? cus it was pretty good.
The MOTW could've been better. Wish it wasn't just a simple case of switched bags but next week's episode looks like there'll be more substance. Can't believe there's only 3 episodes left. I need a 4th season!
