^ How I wish we had seen more of Minkus during those years. I would have loved to have seen his growth. All I can think about is Farkle and Minkus having talks about what he went through during those years.

^ I guess all we can do now is imagine those moments in our heads. We can also hope that fanfiction writers include those scenes in their fanfictions.

^ We're seasoned viewers of television. We've learned to fill in the blanks when we notice that something isn't being shown/addressed.

Do you think Minkus is the kind of dad that Alan and Cory are? Since we only saw him a handful of times with Farkle, it's not clear to me what kind of dad he is, but can you imagine him helping him with homework or teaching him stuff?

We just can't leave it alone

I think he might try, but then he ends up falling into being a bit absent because of work, but then he might try and make it up to him when that's the case...

^ We can not do it. It's just not possible!

That's the sense that I get too. It hurts me to think about the two of them not being as close as a father and son usually are. In my scenarios, Minkus has made more of an effort to spend more time with Farkle and less time focused on work. And just to add to the "he might try and make it up to him when that's the case..." part of your post, can you imagine how he would do that? I can see Minkus taking Farkle somewhere that would stimulate Farkle's mind, and Farkle being speechless and ecstatic about the gesture.

^ I'm used to that. The only way that I will ever be 100 percent happy with a show is if I am in charge of it. Since that is not likely to happen in this lifetime, I will have to accept that some things are only possible by using the power of my imagination.

How much influence do you think Minkus has had over the things that Farkle has become interested in? I mean, do you think Farkle ever felt pressured to love the same things that Minkus loved, or do you think Minkus just planted the seeds of the things that he was passionate about and he let Farkle decide if he loved the same things?

I think Minkus probably just planted the seeds, I mean, Minkus has always loved science, so I could see him taking Farkle to museums and thinks like that & always getting so excited to explain how things work & that that enthusiasm would just be infectious. Plus, I bet Minkus was always buy Farkle those little experiment kits

That's exactly how I imagine it too! Every parents hopes that their child likes the same things that they love. I can definitely see Minkus planting the seeds of science in Farkle, just hoping that Farkle will be just as enthusiastic to learn about things that he was. Minkus seems like the kind of dad that would encourage Farkle to experiment and explore. They probably spent a lot of time together, exercising their big genius brains.

My parents weren't really like that I think, but Minkus definitely feels like he would be...

^ I completely agree with you there. Minkus does seem like the kind of dad that would want his child to take after him. Some of my favorite Minkus/Farkle moments are when Farkle goes against Minkus' plans for him. For example...

favorite scene: girl meets legacy
