I can't remember the episode title, but I think it's the one where Cory's being teated like a hero because everyone thinks that he put out a fire at the school, but Shawn knows the truth.

^ I love that scene! "You're Cory, I'm Shawn, just like it's always been. What else do you need to know?" I love that Shawn didn't care that he could have had a hundred friends because he was so popular. He knew that all of those so-called friendships didn't measure up to his friendship with Cory. Cory was the friend that he wanted to stick by him, and that he wanted to stick by.

Yeah, Shawn was not swept up in all his popularity at all, he knew that no matter what, through all his ups & downs, Cory would always be his best friend

^ That's so true! Shawn knew that he had a good thing going with Cory, and he didn't want to lose it.

If the roles had been reversed, I'm sure Cory would have chosen Shawn over popularity and a hundred so-called friends.

^ That thought was definitely lurking in the back of my head when I wrote my previous post. =p Cory did tend to let people's impressons of him cloud his head and make him act differently. I love that Shawn was there to bring him back down to earth when that happened.

Yeah, no matter what crazy things Cory got caught up in, Shawn always brought him back to earth & Cory was always grateful for it
