^ That's a good point. I do love contrasting personalties. I think their different home lives made their friendship stronger. They saw how their best friend lived and it made them appreciate what they had.

Yes, that's true. Their competitions over a girl were quickly handled in an episode, and it never affected their friendship. I know. That's one part of Girl Meets World that I didn't like.

There was that very brief sort of situation where Cory thought something was going on between Shawn and Topanga but of course it wasn't what he thought...

^ I can remember a few moments where Shawn and Topanga had slightly shippy moments, but they never really went anywhere with it. She was the girl Cory liked/his girlfriend and Shawn was Cory's best friend. The lines were drawn very clearly with the trio, and even though TPTB sometimes teases crossing the line between Shawn and Topanga, I never worried that it would ever turn into a full-blown triangle.

There was a point too where, I can't remember who was on what side, but there was a thing, but then their significant others didn't even blink about it

^ I'm pretty sure I figured out what you are referring to. Can you believe it? I think you're talking about that one episode where Shawn and Topanga kissed on camera for Pennbrook's student video, and it somehow convinced Cory that they had had unresolved feelings for each other for many years. They went on a date to save their relationship and friendship with Cory, and Cory freaked out because he eavesdropped on the date and he thought that they had acted on those supposed unresolved feelings. Then Cory and Angela were talking about the new power couple (i.e. Shawn and Topanga) while snuggling up together on the bed, and Shawn and Topanga found them in that position. They didn't even blink an eye about them lying in bed together, but Cory felt like he had to try to explain that nothing was going on between them. I think a part of me had always felt like TPTB were going to one day go down the Shawn and Topanga romantic route, but in that episode, all of my worries were put to rest. I mean, it was the perfect opportunity to do it, and it didn't happen. Don't worry. Be happy.
