That girls' room scene is one of the memorable Shawn/Topanga moments for me. It was such a great moment!


Aw, I forgot about that moment. I forget what Shawn said in his speech, but I love that Topanga let him make that speech. She knew that their class would have connected more with his thoughts.

I can't remember most of what he said, just that it ended kinda sad when he says that he could have done better

^ I tracked down the episode and watched his speech. It really was honest, deep and yes, a little sad. I'm so happy that Topanga gave him the opportunity to give that speech. I'm sure his words struck a chord with their classmates. For some reason though, I thought it was going to be a 'Shawn speaks from the heart and wings it' speech, but Topanga clearly gave Shawn the heads-up that she was going to do that. He came prepared.

Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if Shawn had actually asked her if he could do it beforehand, because he felt like he had something really important to say

Oh, I didn't even think of that. That's such a great thought. And I'm sure Topanga didn't hesitate to give Shawn the opportunity to share his thoughts with their classmates.
