It's always entertaining watching Maya make someone squirm. I'm positive that I would have been very pleased to see Maya mess a little bit with Shawn's mind.

Cory wouldn't want to at first, but then Maya would probably trick him into telling her stuff

^ Oh, you know that's true. Maya would use some mind-tricks on Cory to get him to reveal something about Shawn that both guys would want to keep under wraps. I can also imagine Maya wanting to find out more about Shawn, so she would turn to Cory for details.

She would, you could tell how curious she was about Shawn's past when Turner showed up & she asked him a couple questions too

^ That was awesome to see! From what she heard from the people who knew Shawn when he was her age, and from what she saw for herself, she realized that Shawn had struggled to find himself, but in the end, he came out of those struggles a stronger person. I think that gives her hope that she'll be okay too, especially she'll have Shawn helping to keep her grounded.

That's true, I think she really admires Shawn & will probably try to model herself on him a little bit as she grows older
