^ Eventually.
 First I re-watched Boy Meets World. Then I caught up on Girl Meets World. It just took me a while to get through the Boy Meets World re-watch.  They did! I wonder what Shawn had in mind when he said that. What do you think he intended to do to make sure that Maya didn't grow up like he did?  __________________

Well for one thing, he wouldn't make her promises he couldn't keep. He'd just be there for her, when she needed him, in person or whatever other way he was able to be...
Show her that she's cared for, that he wants to be in her life and so he will be, not let her feel that pain too deeply that he might have felt...__________________

^ We have the same idea, because that's how I took that statement.
 Shawn made sure Maya knew that she could count on him if she needed him, that she could turn to him when she felt like she didn't have anyone else to turn to. And Maya knew that his promise was genuine, because she knew that he had felt lost and alone at times and, like he said, he would never let her feel the same way.     __________________

 I think Shawn felt so good that he could kept Maya (i.e. someone that he saw a lot of similarities in) from feeling what he felt when he was a teen. He became someone that he probably wished he had had when he was a kid.  __________________

^ I love that! Shawn seems like the kind of guy whose experiences will stay with him, no matter how old he gets. He will always feel his past and he will probably always wish that he could have had a few more moments of happiness. I think he has a book in the back of his head that he refers to when he sees Maya travelling down a similar path that he travelled down. He knows exactly what to say and do to make sure her growth doesn't have quite as many moments of pain or unhappiness as he had to experience during his own growth.

^ Now that they're father and daughter, and therefore in each other's lives for the rest of their lives, their connection is only going to get stronger. I think they will get to a point where they will actually have their own language.
