Thanks. I had a lot more time on my hands back then. I could afford to spend eight to nine hours a day watching each season. Now I have to find pockets of time to dedicate to the shows that I'm watching.

What is a headcanon that you've come up with for Shawn and Jack now?

^ That is true. I used to get excited about my shows. Now I'm mostly meh about a lot of them.

I can imagine the occasional phone call just to check in and update each other on what's going on in their lives. I can imagine them spending birthdays and holidays together complete with the exchange of silly and/or serious gifts because they missed out on growing up together. I can imagine them having boys weekends just to have some fun and bond. I would love to read a few new headcanon scenes. Please share them if any scenes pop into your head. I'd love to add them to my list.

^ That's a pretty short list. I think that's on a lot of people's lists. I would love to see Jack with Shawn's new family too. If anyone is going to be ecstatic that Shawn has stability and love in his life, it's going to be Jack.

^ I should do that too. Wish for something small, and once it happens, then wish for something else. And so on and so forth.

In Family Trees, I remember that Jack didn't understand and seemed a little upset that Shawn wanted to find his birth mom when he had Jack in his life. Yet despite Jack's feelings, he still helped him track his mom down. I loved how, in the end, Shawn realized that he needed to repair his bond with Jack first.

^ So do I. Even though Shawn didn't have the stability of a mother who was always there, at least he knew that his mother was out there. Then when he found out that she didn't have that connection with him, so he probably felt lost. Of course he would want to find some answers from the woman who gave birth to him. I didn't think one had anything to do with the other. Just because he wanted to find his mother it didn't mean that he was forgetting his bond with Jack. He just wanted to find out why she left and why she stayed away.

^ I think, once Jack really thought about it, he understood Shawn's wish to find his birth mother. I wish we could have seen them have that talk, you know, the 'You do what you need to do. Just know that I'm here for you if you need me' talk.

^ You're right. I think that Shawn's desire to get answers from his birth mother hit Jack in a sensitive spot. It probably made him feel like he wasn't enough for Shawn.
