Exactly. Shawn even said that in the hospital when Chet died. I think he was used to being someone that grew up with trailer park with little money. Shawn refused to take Cory's Christmas present, Shawn doesn't like it when Jack offers to buy him coffee, doesn't like that Jack's stepfather offered to pay Chet's hospital stay, and sure as hell doesn't like that Jack's stepfather paid Shawn's tuition for college.

They did get along eventually because they had trouble bonding and finding what they have in common besides they came from the same father. :shrug:

It was great that they formed such a great bond later on!

I love that Jack wouldn't give up on having a real relationship with Shawn! :love:

It just proved that Jack was really serious about getting to know his brother. It made me like Jack even more. :)

I always wondered why Jack stayed away growing up. I guess maybe with Chet always be away? And his mom did hide Shawn's letters to Jack. But Jack's step dad had paid Shawn's college tuition.

Who knows? :shrug: It was probably one of those continuity things on the part of the writers. :lol:

Yes it does, I loved seeing this relationship grow, from them hating each other to getting along.

Me too - although Jack never hated Shawn, he tried so hard to reach out to him in those early eps :sigh:

That last scene with them - & Chet too - was always so touching, both actors did a great job portraying the emotions there :clap:

I loved that last scene. It was almost a full circle scene.
