Me too. I think Shawn was actually pretty lonely & just wanted a friend, & Cory accepted him pretty early on, so even though they were different, they really pulled together

^ Aw, I love that. They really did find each other at the right time, and a lifelong friendship was formed. I'm so happy that Cory befriended Shawn. Even though they were so very different, clearly they saw something in each other that they really needed.

Me too! It was awesome how he became close to both of them, especially as he didn't think he would know how to talk to kids

^ Yes! They probably spent a lot of time getting to know each other after Christmas, so when Shawn showed up on Maya's birthday, they were all more comfortable with one another. It seemed like the girls had known Shawn from many years intead of only a few weeks or months.

It did seem that way, once they actually started spending quality time together, they all bonded pretty quickly

^ And it was great to see. I didn't want the girls to be upset with Shawn. When he invited them to spend time with him, I was so happy, because I knew that they would bond quickly if they all let down their guards and really got to know each other.
