I love that scene! It was obvious that he wanted to make sure their relationship was different from his other relationships. He wanted to do things right with her.

I also like that episode cause I can understand and appreciate that the other girls didn't want Shawn to hurt Angela like he did them. I'm glad he stopped being a playboy when he fell in love with Angela. I'm glad he didn't want to risk messing anything up with the love of his life so he stepped up to give her what she deserved.

Yeah, I do think they genuinely believed that they were helping Angela, & I can understand why they didn't believe that Shawn hadn't changed

& it really was another push that Shawn needed to start becoming a better guy

Ugh, that scene is so heartwrenching. Also annoying cause it was right before the last two episodes. They know they could of kept Angela around for the end, then after people waited years to know what happened between them, they crap on them GMW but I'm sure just like with me, it's not canon to most S/A fans anyway. Shawn will ALWAYS love Angela, and no bs rewrite will ever change that.

He did. Hearing his ex-girlfriends' take on him and their relationship definitely changed him. He didn't want to Angela to be another casualty of the Shawn Hunter Relationship Highway, so he tried to treat her right so she'd look back fondly on their relationship.

I held on for so many years on that "Let's not say good-bye. Let's just say I love you" bit. In my head, I imagined that they found each other when the time was right. Why didn't TPTB have the same idea?

I think that's how pretty much everyone felt about these two, & I'm sure the writers knew that as well. I'll never understand why they chose to go the way that they did...

^ I don't get it. I know not every high school couple makes it, but I was so sure that Shawn and Angela would get their happily-ever-after. I really loved my happy bubble where they found each other when the timing was right.

Still fine to think that cause GMW's hacked up explanation for what happened to them was bogus. To me they reunited and stayed together.

lol Just like the writers, I keep forgetting about Katy. That's what made it even more laughable, all to rush Shawn to marry some woman he didn't go on one date with lmao! Pointless.

Considering how much Shawn and Angela meant to each other, I would have wanted them to give us a proper goodbye scene where they went their separate ways. TPTB telling us that it didn't work out and then having Angela turning up and revealing that she was married to another guy didn't work for me.

Me either, & the way that they tried to paint Angela as the bad guy, by saying that they broke up because she was just another person that left Shawn. That was so unfair
