These two guys are awesome together! It's been great to see someone who knew Lucas before he came to New York and who can see the person he has become since his move.



^ I like that. For all we know, they will grow up a little and they will realize that they like the clubs and activities that high school offers them, and they will only play sports for fun. Teenagers start off their high school careers as lumps of clay, waiting to be molded, and their experiences shape them into young adults who are more prepared to go out into the world. Zay and Lucas may find a new love outside of sports.


Definitely! From the way they carry themselves, I feel like they ruled their school back in Texas. Now that they have entered high school, it's been a big shock to them that they aren't as athletic as they thought they were. They shouldn't try to compare themselves to their potential teammates. Lucas and Zay are freshman. If they really want to be athletes on their high school sports teams, it's going to take time and effort for them to reach the level that the other members on the teams have reached throughout their years of working for it.

I could buy that. When people move to a new city or school, nobody knows them, so they can be whoever they want to be. They can re-invent themselves. It's entirely possible that Lucas and Zay have misled people into thinking that they were big men on campus when they lived in Texas. I mean, who can say for sure who they were? It's a two-man secret, and neither one of them is talking.

Nice going, Zay! That's true. Nobody knew anything about Lucas' pre-New York life/self until Zay showed up and showed his friends a different side of him. I really need to get to our Girl Meets World re-watch, because I can't remember what we were told about either guy's life in Texas.
