I really hope going forward, they ship Maya and Lucas over Riley and Lucas.
Maya and Lucas are just amazing on screen. I cant help but feel Riley comes across as a little forced. |

I'm just not sure cuz its disney and the writers said riley/lucas were topanga and cory but i guess they could change direction if they see the fans for lucaya?
i heard the episode was great for them. haven't seen it yet but I'm excited! __________________

The issue for me is that Maya/Lucas completely overshadows Riley/Lucas. If they don't do Maya/Lucas, it will be unbearable for me atleast in the beginning.
However I actually believe in Maya because she sure likes to tease Lucas. And I can't stop thinking about this line: https://twitter.com/BMWSequelDotCom/...36060083601408 "Don't make assumptions based on what you see." Season 1 is all about friendship. What better way to test the friendship than having Rileys crush and Maya have feelings for each other? Honestly, take a look at them on screen. They're far closer than Riley and Lucas is. It has to be intentional... It's damn interesting to say the least, haha. |

well they seem to be giving m/l great friendship stuff but they are def. emphasizing the romantic side for r/l.
though i will say in the last episodes we haven't seen anything for R/L and m/l have had more interactions. why not have riley jump on lucas instead of maya? seems strange to me. its just m/l have a very flirtatious banter going on that riley/lucas lack. __________________
