I've seen a lot of theories and things floating around tumblr but i have to say that i am not that worried. the first part seemed heavily focused on lucaya to me. from lucas noticing that maya looked good and even said that first, before even telling riley she did too. then riley noticing. then the hurr hurr thing and maya once again making fun of lucas and teasing him. and then she was the one that said she didnt want him to ride the bull and being so scared for him. and showing her sad reaction the entire time? also the cliffhanger with riley exposing her feelings (which i thought was kinda rude actually! lol) ii definitely think this was the episode where maya realized she liked him too.

riley was clearly lying when she's said maya was right and she did see lucas as a brother. i think she was trying to step aside for maya. which i think says a lot about their friendship. but it does confuse me because the writers could have easily had riley TRULY see lucas in that way. but i guess they dont want to alienate all the rucas fans.
