^ I can see that. He loved being seen as the golden boy and the protector. He wanted people to think hightly of him, so people having a different image of him would throw him a little. =p

^ That's true. Zay's appearance did poke a lot of holes in Lucas' story/image. I can understand why Lucas re-invented himself though. He just wanted a fresh start.

I can understand that too, but he had to learn the difference between actually changing who you are & trying to put on an act & denying certain parts of yourself

^ True story. It was only a matter of time before Lucas' story fell apart. Something or someone was going to come along that was going to reveal that Lucas hadn't been entirely honest with the people in his life...and that's exactly what happened when Zay showed up.

Yeah, it wasn't Zay's fault, it was just one of those things that's going to come out sooner or later

^ Exactly. Even if Zay hadn't showed up, things were going to end the same way. Lucas wasn't going to be able to keep that side of him hidden for the rest of his life. The longer it lasted, the more upset his friends were going to be.
