I love that too. I was actually a little surprised that Maya stopped Lucas from taking care of Farkle's bully, but once I thought about it, I got to the same conclusion that you did. She knew that he didn't need to stoop to that level.

I think she was the only person that could have reeled him in. She got him to focus on the big picture.

She did, imo she's one of the few people forward enough to get through to Lucas when he was in that kind of mood. I think one of the criticisms people had of Maya/Lucas was that she'd be bad for him - but that episode proved that she wouldn't. She understood his dark side more than anyone, that was what gave her the ability to handle it

^ I think so too. When Maya feels strongly about someone or something, there is nothing that could stop her from expressing it. She knew that Lucas wouldn't want to be that person, and she found a way to get through to him before he did something he would regret.

Viewers really thought that? Wow. I don't think you can really know what two characters are going to be like in a relationship until they are actually in a relationship. I'm so happy that Maya showed that she would be a positive influence on Lucas. And what I love most is that she showed that influence when they weren't even in a relationship together.

Definitely, it was so obvious that she had a huge influence on him & that their connection was more mature than....some other relationships on this show. They helped each other grow, & they grew closer as a result - that's really the most important thing

Yes! I think that's what appealed to me too. I feel that they had the ability to go deeper with each other.
