I really love that Mr. Turner made the decision to become Shawn's guardian. I mean, Mr. Feeny warned him not to mix business (school life) with personal (home life), but Mr. Turner couldn't help himself. He saw that Shawn needed someone to be there for him, and he immediately stepped up and he became that person for him.

And yes, he was. There were scenes throughout season two where you saw their similarities. When I think back to that season, I pretty sure TPTB's endgame for them was to have them become personally bonded as well.

Yeah, I think that Shawn was inspired by the influence Turner had over him & it made him realize that he could be that for someone else too & that you can make your own family

I made that connection too. Blood doesn't make you family. Making the effort to be there for people makes you family.

Mr. Turner was definitely one of the biggest influences in Shawn's life, even when they (probably) didn't see each other as often as they used to. I think Mr. Turner's impact on Shawn was profound and life-changing, and I loved seeing glimpses of that impact on Shawn every once in a while.
