^ Oh, yes. I'm so glad TPTB decided to introduce that part of Smackle. Not only did it make my appreciation for her character grow, but it also made me more aware of some of the aspects of Asperger's.

^ I had some awareness about Asperger's, because I remember Degrassi had at least one character that had it. The thing is, for some reason, I didn't connect the dots about Smackle until it was confirmed that Asperger's was part of her character as well.

^ I've never gone deep with characters. I've enjoyed them for the way they are and I haven't thought about the possible reasons for their characteristics. I'm so happy TPTB changed that way of thinking when they expanded on Smackle's character.

^ I agree. It was important for viewers, especially young adults, to be introduced to different people, and Smackle was definitely different. I don't think I've ever come across a character like her. I'm happy she made a mark on the show.
I really love that moment! What a powerful message and such wisdom from one so young. __________________

^ I agree. She gave an amazing speech that the outside isn't nearly as important as the inside.
Of course she did. Who could top that? __________________

^ That is true. She knew exactly what she was doing. I love the moment that the John Quincy Adams team thought they had beaten her but she beat them instead.

^ Oh, yes. She was very strategic. For some reason, I didn't expect her to be playing the long game when she asked Riley and Maya for help. I thought she was trying to bond with them. I did love how she asked them to be friends even after her true motives were revealed.

That's what I thought too, but I was really happy with the twist - it showed that she was a lot more complex than just some girl who wanted to be prettier. It made the show look smarter too

^ Ooh, I never thought of that. I love that TPTB dropped that twist on us. It added so many layers to the episode, especially for Smackle as a character. My favorite part will always be that speech she gave that beauty on the inside is much more important than beauty on the outside.
