^ Smackle powered down right in front of her friends. I wouldn't have been surprised if TPTB started going down that path with her. And if people wondered about whether Farkle was a boy or a robot, then Smackle was just as likely to be the subject of wonder as well. =p

That's true, I'm surprised no one ever brought up on the show that they think she could be robot

^ TPTB already had the other characters thinking that Farkle could be a robot, so maybe they didn't want to repeat that with Smackle, so they didn't. They might have thought it would have been 'been there, done that', so they steered clear of that possibility. I think that powering down scene would at least had her friends questioning Smackle acting like a robot.

I guess I can understand it if that's what the writers though, but I think it would have been funny & not repetitive if they had gone that way

^ Oh, yes. I think TPTB probably would have teased the possibility that Smackle was a robot if they hadn't already told us that she had Asperger. It wouldn't have been right if they combined the two explanations and made a joke out of Smackle's condition/behavior.

^ Yeah. It was fun to think about the possibility before TPTB told us that she had Asperger. I wouldn't have been happy if TPTB had turned around and made a joke of it after that reveal.

Me either, but I do think that's partly because these kinds of shows tend to have characters that are a bit different, so you think that's what it is instead of actually wondering if there was something else going on.

^ Exactly! I appreciated and accepted Smackle just as she was. I wasn't expecting some big reveal that there was a reason for the way she was.
