^ It really was. To be honest, I would have been perfectly fine if the show had ended with Shawn and Katy not married and Shawn and Maya as father-daughter without it being official. I'm kind of in between - like with Shawn officially adopting Maya, it was sweet, but at the end of the day, it's just a piece of paper. Shawn was already 100% committed to being in her life forever, making it legal doesn't change a person's feelings one way or another imo :shrug:

^ That's how I feel as well. It was great seeing the happiness on their faces that it was official, but I didn't think it was really needed. I already knew that Shawn loved Maya like a daughter, even before he married Katy. :group_hug: :in_love:

^ Exactly. Maybe the reason that TPTB made things so official for the Hunter-Harts is that the show was on Disney and it made sense to have everything wrapped up nicely with a bow. :roller: :thumbs_up:
