^ It was. I actually completely forgot that Riley and Maya got the animated treatment in that episode. I only remember the time jump to the 1920s and that there was a dance number.

^ Me too. I kind of like that TPTB tried something different for that Halloween episode, but it wasn't memorable for me.

Thankfully, there were so many other great Riley/Maya episodes and moments.

I know they said that for a laugh, but it does make me wonder something. We saw that Maya had the potential to be an A student if she put in the time and effort. I wonder why Riley didn't encourage Maya bump up her mark a little more.

hahahaha yeah, its funny. Its something Cory would have said to Shawn back when they were younger. I notice a lot of similarities between Riley/Maya and Cory/Shawn.

I think that even though Riley did see more potential in Maya, she didn't push her all the time, because I'm sure Maya would get tried of that pretty quickly

Yes! I love that TPTB made sure they paralleled the two sets of BFFs. I think they did so because we expected it.

I'm not sure, I think she did tell Maya in that ep that she was smart, & then in s2 she pushed her with the art, but that's all I can really think of

^ Got it! Maybe Riley wanted Maya to feel that drive to succeed, and she knew that pushing her to try when she didn't want to wouldn't have done any good.

Yeah, I think that Maya can be the kind of person where if you try to push her one way, she'll go the other - even if it is Riley who's pushing her
