No, because he learned after he went on struck that he was doing it for the wrong reasons & that he had just been acting entitled. It was the same case with Riley, she just went along with it because Maya didn't want to have to do homework from what I remember, so I think he would have just learned her lesson about it like he did.

^ I see. If Riley's strike had been about her own battle with homework, then it might have made some sense, but striking for someone else didn't have much impact. I agree that, if Cory had only had the Dad hat on and not also have the Teacher hat on, he would have wanted her to learn that lesson on her own.

Yeah, from what we saw, he wasn't really a fan of Riley just following whatever Maya was doing in the pilot

^ I agree. I'm imagining that, as much as Cory loved Maya and her friendship with Riley, he didn't want Riley to always be following her wherever she went. I think he wanted her to follow her own path, which is why he wanted her to fight for things that she wanted. Your reminder/take tells me that her strike wasn't something that she herself wanted, which is why he was probably against it.

Yeah, it was Maya who had started the strike, I think because she hadn't done her homework, or just didn't want to

& I also think that he thought about how things were with him & Shawn, & how if things had gone differently, Shawn could have been a bad influence on Cory, instead of Cory being a good influence on him, & didn't want things to go the wrong way with Riley & Maya.

^ Oh, that's an interesting idea.

Cory may have thought that he dodged a bullet when he ended up being a postive influence on Shawn, but that he wouldn't be so lucky with Riley and Maya, so he tried to make sure they were positive influences on each other.

I love it! I'm unfamilar with the Grand Canyon, but for some reason, I'm going to think of it as the Great Depression, all because of Riley.

I wonder how Riley made that connection, that the Grand Canyon is the Great Depression. Maybe she somehow came to that conclusion because of a lesson that Cory taught her. =p
