I think that they'd both be a little freaked out by it, but once they got actually realized their feelings, that it was mutual & they got together, it would feel like the most natural thing in the world to them

Me too. Nine times out of ten, I love it when TPTB make that transition with their characters. It really depends on whether or not I think the transition would make sense for the characters. Sometimes I think their dynamic works better as friends.

I think they could have made the transition smoothly over time. It just might have to happen as they got older.

^ They did! From episode one, he said that he was in love with her. Yes, he said he had the same feelings for Maya as well, but I always thought it was deeper/more real with Riley.


I think so too. I can definitely imagine them taking that chance when they get older.

I always kinda felt that he loved Maya as an extension of Riley. They did develop their own friendship too, but at first, it seemed like it was about Riley to me - it was always different with her

Right, I feel he loved both of them, but the way he felt about Riley was different. There was something special about how he felt about her.
