^ I bet that had to do with the moments. Maybe Shawn came out ahead of Topanga in some big moments, which may have made Topanga feel like it kept happening. I think if Topanga really thought about it, she would see that Cory chose her over Shawn quite a bit.

^ Oh, yes. I think Cory's attention was probably divided pretty evenly between Shawn and Topanga. They were both his other halves. He probably couldn't have handled dealing with life's ups and downs with both of them by his side.

You're right, it shouldn't have ever been about one or the other, he loved & needed them both & they had different roles in his life

Yes! I think both Topanga and Shawn appreciated that they didn't have to carry the full weight of being Cory's go-to for every up and down that he had. I think the two of them carrying the weight and being there for Cory and each other kept the three of them in a good, peaceful place.

Aw, that was a good scene with the three of them! Poor Topanga wasn't prepared for how much cutting her hair like that would affect her.


I agree. That's why they will always make a great trio. They will always be there for each other.

She really didn't, but I love how Shawn was the one to talk some sense into her in that ep, so that it wasn't always the two of them helping Cory

^ I know! That bathroom scene will always be one of my favorite Shawn/Topanga moments. And the part in bold is one of the reasons why...

It also shows that, even though we saw Shawn helping Cory a lot throughout the show, there were moments where he was there for Topanga as well.

^ I think so too. They each offered something different to the other two within the group, and that's why they are still so tightly bonded. They know that they have two people in their lives who will give them the cold, hard truth and be there for them in their moments of struggle.
