Me too. We could feel their special bond on-screen in their scenes, but finding out that that bond spilled over into off-screen as well enhanced their on-screen bond.

It did, I think with child actors especially, they need to feel close to the people that they're working with to really sell that relationship onscreen

^ Totally! I'm sure Rowan and August spent some time together before they started filming. That off-screen bond built the history between them that they were really sister and brother.

Yeah, I'm sure the producers encouraged that because they knew how important it was - all of them seemed to really look out for Auggie

^ That's the impression that I have as well. They looked very comfortable and natural in their moments together. I'm sure part of their on-screen dynamic being so believable was because they had instant chemistry, but the other part was because they put in the work to make it so.

I think so too, I think there was probably a lot of offscree bonding activies that happened early on in the show

^ Yes! Then after a while, they didn't have to spend so much off-screen time together, but they still spent time together, because they wanted to.
