^ You know that's true. I can see Mr. Feeny giving Eric the thumbs up on his look if he thinks, "It can't get any better than this."

^ Right? And even Mr. Feeny would reach a point where he would want to be done with such an experiment.

^ That is my favorite question that needs a 'yes' or 'no' answer. It looked like Mr. Feeny knew that Eric was asking him if he could get into Yale...hence the answer of 'no' to the question. =p

^ That's a good possibility. I love that too! Mr. Feeny could have taken a few minutes to explain to Eric how a 'yes' or 'no' answer wouldn't be needed for that question, but he didn't. He considered the question like he could answer 'yes' or 'no'. I think he did it so that Eric wouldn't give up hope. Yes, Yale wasn't in the cards for Eric, but Mr. Feeny softening the blow for Eric probably made him consider more appropriate, achievable university options. Imagine if Mr. Feeny had pointed out that Eric had asked a question that no university-bound student should ask. It would have crushed him, and it would have made him lose confidence in his ability to handle university.

^ That's why Eric (and the other characters were/) was so lucky to have Mr. Feeny. He knew when he could handle them with care and when he could give them tough love.

^ That is true. He did have his limits. I just loved that he never gave up on any of them. My fuzzy recall seems to believe that Eric tested his patience a lot.

I am sure his patience was tested at times, but at the end of the day, he would do anything for them.
