Oh I bet Feeny had to have had a lot of patience to deal not just with Eric, but all of them at times!

You'd think that having Eric first would have prepared Feeny for the rest

^ No amount of preparation would ever be enough.

There was plenty of evidence showing that.

^ Because he had decided to dedicate his life to educating young people? For the most part, I think the good outweighed the bad, especially when he saw that his students were learning the lessons he was teaching them.

That's true, & as we saw, he formed great bonds with Eric & the others, so it was all worth it

^ It was a special bond he had with all of his students. I must admit that his bond with Eric holds a special place in my heart. Who knows what would have become of Eric if he hadn't had Mr. Feeny there to teach him and guide him.

I don't even want to think about it

Eric always had a good heart, but I think that Feeny nurtured that side of him a lot too - as Eric said, he knew he would be a good person & he blamed Feeny for that

^ I completely agree with you there, Sophie. Eric already had that potential inside him, but Mr. Feeny helped him to reach it. I love that line! It summed up perfectly how much impact Mr. Feeny had had on him.

It was such a beautiful moment & you just know that Eric carries Feeny's lessons with him every day

^ I think so too. I think Mr. Feeny's lessons will always be swirling around Eric's head. There is no way he could ever forget them.

^ Yes, and I think that Eric probably calls or drops by Mr. Feeny's house when he needs someone to talk to. Mr. Feeny always did give Eric the best advice or a good boost when he needed it.
