And yes, I totally get that, but I mean I've studied four languages that were not my own (English, Spanish, German, and Italian), two of them linguistically related to my native French, and still I didn't make any mistakes so repeatedly as this. I'm not kidding, weeks and weeks and she never bloody get it, no matter how many times I told her

It does seem frustrating.

One of my friends has been living in Spain, teaching ESL to students of all ages, and she has had the same teaching experiences as you.

I think she would have tried her best to get it right if she had really wanted to learn. I would love to know if she ever figured it out.

That is definitely what Mr. Feeny's look is saying.

Maybe that's why he joined Eric at Pennbrook. He wanted to make sure that Eric would make it through it.

It just seems like Eric was the student that Mr. Feeny was most worried about.

I love how it wasn't a conscious decision by Mr. Feeny to show up and keep an eye on Eric. It was just a bonus of him wanting to expand his mind.
